On Updating Blog Roll, Web Hosting and Blog Earnings

This blog was created in February 2008 and the list of blogs I follow is continuously increasing. However, I noticed that there are several blogs I linked here that are not existing anymore. So, I decided to update my blog roll know. I already made a list of the active blogs that I am following and will also include those who follows me. :)

I've been meaning to sign-up for an unlimited web hosting and transfer my blogs to my own domain. I've been praying that the payment from my client whom I consider my first direct advertiser will be the key to the success of my plans. I do hope I'll receive it soon.

The Miss Universe Organization launched an online voting for the Miss Universe 2011 contestants. This is the first in the history of Miss Universe, now on its 60th year.. I already voted for our very own Shamcey Supsup via missuniverse.com. You can also vote through nbc.com. Each vote can help your chosen contestant advance in the semi-final round of the competition. Anyone who's in legal age, and a resident of the home countries of the Ms. Universe 2011 contestant can cast their vote for their chosen contestant.

This year's Miss Universe pageant will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011.

GT: His Own Vocabulary

Few years back (and even until now), my nephew is fond of interchanging the syllables when he's saying something. I have a long list of those words but I'll  share the most memorable ones, haha.

Conversation #1: Ang Tampalon, Bow!

Tito R (my husband): BA, napansin mo ba dumaan si Alex?
BA: Opo, naka-tampalon pa nga e.

Gets nyo ba kung ano ang tampalon?

Conversation #2: Restarwan o Candereria???

On the way to jeepney stop, he asked...

BA: Tita, tita, saan ka kumakain pag nasa osipina ka?
Moi: Sa office lang, di ba madalas may baon naman ako.
BA: Ah akala ko sa restarwan o kaya sa candereria.

My sister and I were laughing out loud while walking. We let him pronounce those words properly over and over again, hahaha.

As an Iglesia Ni Cristo member, I was overwhelmed by the news that I want to blog it immediately after reading the article.

The Korea Herald reported that Hanwha Engineering and Construction Corporation began the construction of the worlds' largest domed arena in north of Metro Manila, Philippines. The $175 million dollar contract was signed last August 14, 2011, in a ceremony attended by Hanwha E&C officials including Vice Chairman Kim Hyun-Chung and Iglesia Ni Cristo Executive Minister Eduardo V. Manalo.

Hanwha E&C said that the work will be carried out over 30 months to be finished early 2014.

To God be the Glory!

Green Living Monday: Doll House Made up of Recycled Materials

I was organizing the photos stored in my laptop recently and I found this cute photo of my daughter. That was taken two years ago. In that pictures, she is proudly showing her school project in her Nursery - A doll house made up of recycled materials such as card boards, Popsicle sticks, old toys, among others. My sister and I collaborated in "building" that house that amused the little one and her teacher.

This is my entry to:

GT #7: New Word I Learned Lately

Due to my hectic offline life, I wasn't able to post an entry for Girls Talk last week. Even though I'm one day late for this week topic, I am making a quick post to share the latest addition in my vocabulary.

I encountered this word sometime in July this year while I am helping my 5 year old daughter in her homework about prisms in Mathematics. Mind you, I even ask her how to pronounce the word. And on the following day, I consulted my friend Google about the meaning of the word (phrase). I don't  want to keep you guessing, so here it is:

   Reuleaux triangle
    (′re′lō ′trī′aŋ·gəl)
(mathematics) A closed plane curve, not actually a triangle, that consists of three arcs, each of which joins two vertices of an equilateral triangle and is part of a circle centered at the remaining vertex.

Reuleaux triangle is, apart from the trivial case of the circle, the simplest and best known Reuleaux polygon, a curve of constant width. The separation of two parallel lines tangent to the curve is independent of their orientation. The term derives from Franz Reuleaux, a 19th-century German engineer who did pioneering work on ways that machines translate one type of motion into another, although the concept was known before his time.
