Yasmin Althea's 5th Birthday Celebration

Thea celebrated her 5th birthday yesterday. As requested, we prepared a Barbie themed celebration for her. It was a simple family get-together. Friends and Thea's BFFs in the neighborhood also joined the little one's party.
She requested for a Barbie Fairy Secret birthday banner, unfortunately, the tarpaulin printing shop in our place does not accept rush order. So, I opted to buy this ready-made Barbie banner at the party needs shop.

We have chosen Club Balai Isabel Resort in Talisay, Batangas as the venue for our three-day Gender Sensitivity Training last April 7-9, 2011.
We left Makati at 7:00 and arrived at 9:00 in the morning. It was a seamless travel...seamless in a sense that we did not had a stop-over, and I was fast asleep throughout the 2 hour journey hahaha. I was really exhausted the night before, had so many household chores done... I finished packing my things at 1:30am, woke up at 4:30 and left the house at 5:30am...

I'm hearing lots of birthday wishes from her. She is aware that there will be a simple salo-salo (celebration) at home and yet she's expecting a Barbie-themed one. I am planning to buy her a Barbie cake though. :). She's wishing for a large inflatable swimming pool set up at the rooftop where she and her BFFs will swim and beat the summer heat. And guess what's she asked me to buy last night, a pink race car? a pink race car?

Fun Day at Expo Kid 3

As I've mentioned in my previous blog post, we joined the Expo Kid 3, a one-day event organized by Mommy Mundo, a website/online directory for moms. Thea had a blast at the event. She tried almost every activities around the area. She tried fencing at Sworsplay, and wall climbing courtesy of Camp Explore, played football at J&J Presko Play, attended an art class, and most of all sung her favorite song "Love Story" by Taylor Swift in front of the teacher-owner of Stardev Music Studio that hones talented children to become stage performers. The event helped us decide on what to do this summer. I am definitely enrolling her to a Voice Lesson, yay! I am so excited playing the role of a stage mom especially during her final stage performance come the month of May.
The event was also one of baby Yohan's "firsts" - malling with Mama and Ate...We are expecting more "lakwatsa" when Papa come home 11 months from now.
