So Many Thing to Blog About But This Mom is Busy is a Bee...

Yeah, I have lots of things to share but I was so pre-occupied with domestic work last weekend. I haven't opened my laptop the whole weekend. I was supposed to post the photo of my home-make Banoffe Pie, a birthday gift for my husband. I will blog about my new hobby, actually an old hobby... I'm back to gardening. I do have a green thumb, this time I'm into ornamental plants. I have a pot of American rose, and few pots of other plants. I am also planning to maintain a herbal garden at our rooftop. And lastly, I will blog about how the little one cut her own hair which made me decide to bring her to the beauty salon last Saturday.
The arrival of my husband is fast approaching. He'll be arriving on Sunday. This also means busier weeks ahead.
I also need a lot of catching up with the graduate school requirements. I hate it but I am so lazy flipping those pages in my books or browsing e-books and references saved on my laptop.. duh! What's happening to me. I think I chose a wrong combination of subjects this term...
Please wish me luck, guys!!! :D

Nestle Fitnesse 14 Days to Show Off Your Shape: Dinner with Designers, Fashion Jury and Nestle Fitnesse Execs.

Team Earthingorgeousness, winner on the first-ever Nestle Fitnesse 14 Days to Show Off your Shape Challenge attended an intimate dinner with designers, fashion jury and Nestle Fitnesse team last night. For a simple person like me, the event can be considered as a once in a lifetime event. I was able to meet the person behind our gorgeous outfits. Winning this contest increased my self-confidence for it made me realized that every woman, young and old, married or single, deserves to have a healthy figure despite her multiple roles in this society.

I am truly thankful for Nestle Fitnesse for coming up this exciting contest. Thanks Nestle Fitnesse for introducing a simple yet effective means to lose those excess pounds without too much Do's and Dont's requirements. You really made a difference in our simple lives...

That's me wearing my elegant Rhett Eala gown.

Now in case you haven't read my previous posts, meet my teammates and new real-life buddies...
Kessa. Kessa works in a call center. In fact, she went straight from her shift and made it to the Nestle Fitnesse 14 Days Challenge Weigh-In and Public Launch last November 14, 2009. I discovered that this lady loves collecting make-up and even maintains a separate blog about beauty and fitness.
Belle. We have a number of similarities. We both work in a local government unit and both are busy mothers of smart and active toddlers (my daughter Althea is 3 years old while her Yana is 2 years old).
Earth. She is our team leader. She's the one who encouraged every reader in her blog to join in the challenge. Initially, a team of 6 was formed through her blog post but Kessa, Belle and I made it to the initial weighing that also kicked-off the 14 days diet program.

Meet the designers Rhett Eala, Kate Torralba and Michi Calica-Sotto. Ms. Glenda and their merchadiser represented Religioso. Ms. Myra Garcia, Nestle Fitnesse Marketing Manager is also with us.

Meet the pretty faces who carefully chose the wardrobes that we've won. From left to right: Pauleen Juan, Bianca Consunji, Audrey Carpio, Rissa Mananquil and Donna Cuna-Pita.

This is our yummy dessert at Lolo Dad's Brasserie at 6750 Ayala Avenue Makati City.

We left the restaurant starstrucked, flattered and with wide smile on our faces. We really had a wonderful celebration of success and new friendship.

Short Prom Dresses

A colleague is looking for a pink prom dress for her daughter. She said that the school listed the some specifications for their students' wardrobes especially the girls. No long gowns must be allowed, just a short prom dress. So how "short" is short, I asked. She said it must be either 1 inch below or 1 inch above the knee. I volunteered to search for prom dress designs in the internet.
Here's our choices so far:

Our No. 1 choice.

I like this one, too.

13 Days To Go...

before my husband's arrival from Oman.

I am so looking forward to it especially our Baguio City trip on the first week of February. His colleague offered thier place for our entire stay in the Pine City.
On the other hand, husband's keep reminding me to cook her favorite foods such as all-meat spaghetti, he even asked if there's still ham left on the fridge haha...Since we consumed the whole one already, I'm thinking of buying for him to experience a late NewYear celebration. aha Chinese New Year, that is...
He'll be celebrating his birthday on the 23rd. I'll be preparing a simple homecoming and post-birthday celebration for him as soon as he arrive on January 31.

I Want to Win Earthlingorgeous’ AVON ANEW REJUVENATE Give-Away

I am a person who barely wears make-up and seldom use skin care products. I only used a set of whitening products before my wedding few years ago. However, upon reading Earth’s review about Avon Anew Rejuvenate line, I think my skin also deserves a youthful glow. I am very much willing to try the product and hope that I would be lucky winner!

Earth said that she is completely amazed with Avon’s Anew Rejuvenate and to prove it she is giving away an Anew Rejuvenate Line, which cost Php 4,096 or about $90, to one of her lucky readers. All you have to do is:

For Bloggers:
1. Write about the contest in your blog and write why you would like to receive the Anew Rejuvenate Line.
2. Make sure to link your post to the URL of this post.
3. Leave a comment HERE with a link to your post.
For Facebook account holders:
1. Write about the contest in your Facebook status and tell your friends why you would like to receive the Anew Rejuvenate Line
2. Make sure to put the link of this post in your status message.
3. Leave a comment HERE with the URL to your Facebook status message.
Contest is open to Philippine residents only who own a blog or a Facebook account. Make sure your Facebook account is not set to private so that Earth can read your status message or add her to your friends so she can check it out. Prizes will be raffled once a total of 50 entries are submitted.

The early announcement of holidays will help us plan our vacations, right. I think I will reserve some long weekends visiting these places with my family:

Team Earthlingorgeous Nestle Fitnesse Photo Shoot

Our much-awaited debut pictorial for the Nestle Fitnesse 14 Days to Show Off your Shape Challenge happened last Saturday at Parallax Studio, Makati City. In behalf of the team, I’d like to thank my avid readers and friends who voted and even rallied for votes making us the big winner in the challenge. I guess I already mentioned in my previous posts that our team won eight (8) pieces of wardrobes from Manila’s most coveted fashion designers namely Kate Torralba, Hermes, 7 For All Mankind, Michi Calica, Religioso, Chanel, Jun Escario and Rhett Eala.

The photo shoot was made possible by Geiser Maclang Marketing Communications, Inc. Likewise, we would like to thank Omar Ermita of Shu Eumura for our Make-up and Ara Fernando for our Hair, Wes Villarica, the meticulous photographer, and Isha Andaya, our stylist.

Behind the scene photos:

Rhett Eala gown, 7FAM jean, Kate Torralba jacket, Religioso dress and Michi Calica dress. Not in the photo: Chanel dress and Hermes belt.

I realized how hard it is being a model. I’m always a camera-shy person. But thanks to Wes and Isha for patiently teaching me to pose properly in order to capture the best smile and best angle. Believe me, I felt nervous especially with the Rhett Eala Gown. It was really an awesome experience to feel and look glamorous for a day. I loved my smokey eyes and super straight hair.

Geiser Maclang had bigger plans for us including the publication and documentation of the series events in the contest, and probably a billboard of Team Earthlingorgeous wearing our lovely dresses, hahaha just kidding. We still have an intimate dinner with Nestle Fitnesse execs, the designers and the fashion jury comprised of the country’s top fashion editors which is tentatively scheduled this coming January 21.
