Meet Her New Pal!

SPONGEBOB!

The Dora the Explorer fanatic becomes Spongebob's friend, hehe.

While we were strolling in the mall last Thursday, the little one saw lots of stuffed toys in one of the stalls there. She hurriedly went inside the store and grab a small Spongebob stuffed toy. Then, turned to the sales crew and said " Thank you, Ate". That small toy cost Php250.00. I was amazed by her reaction upon seeing the bunch of toys around her. So, I decided to buy her one, but we got the bigger one...

She was so happy and excitedd to play with her new buddy. She even wanted to carry the big plastic bag as we walked towards the mall exit. At home, she joyfully played with "him" and when dropped to the floor, she will always ask "Spongebob, are you okay? lolz

Rain, Rain Go Away

1 comment:
At last, the rain stopped...

After attending a 3-hour meeting this morning, I decided to go to the nearest Western Union branch to claim Hubby’s remittance. heavy rains poured while our meeting was still on-going. However, I don’t have any idea that the street fronting our building is flooded already. I have no choice but to cross the street, good thing I used my old pair of shoes. The teller even wondered how I managed to traverse the flooded lane. I just said I really have to transact with them during lunch break because I have a class later.

When I went up to the office, I washed my feet to get rid of germs/bacteria that may cause illness such lyptospirosis. Then, I ate lunch which I bought at the Tiangge sa City Hall.

While discussing our group case study with my classmate thru YM, I told her that I may not attend the class due to the bad weather. Few hours later, I received an SMS from TMC staff saying “No class today, Wed. TM 241 due to heavy rains” . Yehey!, it seems that my request was granted and so I will not be marked absent by our professor. (lolz)

Okay, friends in the blogosphere, I have to say bye for now. I still have to buy some stuffs for Hubby. I will send a package to him through his colleague who will leave on Friday.

A Bunch of Thanks to You!

Bhang, for granting my request, that is designing my new header... I can not say anything but - Thank you so much!!! mwuah!
My header represents me, as Bhang explained while giving me instructions on how to upload it. The two different bags symbolizes how I balance my career and my role as a wife and mother. The little girl peeping at letter "U" corresponds to my active 2-year daughter... On the other hand, brown, pink and yellow are the dominant colors in my blog.

Day 4 and 5 of the Blog Trip

4 comments:

On the 4th day of the trip, I should have shown you my favorite places to shop. And on the fifth and last day, the famous landmarks in the city where I live. Due to time constraint I cannot post pictures of those places… I am inviting you to visit the official website of the City of Mandaluyong.

I am also recommending Makati City, where you can also find the finest hotels, restaurants and shopping malls. I lived in this premier city for almost 11 years and still working here for more than 8 years.

I would like to take this opportunity to thanks Mommy Marie of Mommy Community for uniting all the moms in the blogosphere through this Blog Trip. It was such as wonderful experience… Thanks also to all my fellow mommy bloggers for stopping here at my home during their trips…

Day 3- Where Should We Eat?

4 comments:

Are tired and hungry as we go along our virtual journey??? Okay then, let me show you where my family and I usually dine together.

My little one is a big fan of Jollibee, a fast-food chain restaurant that originated here in the Philippines. According to their website, Jollibee is a phenomenal success story that began as a two-branch ice cream parlor in 1975 offering hot meals and sandwiches and became incorporated in 1978 with seven outlets to explore the possibilities of a hamburger concept. Thus was born the company that revolutionized fast food in the Philippines.

For casual dining I recommend the following: Bacolod Chicken Inasal, Max's Restaurant, and Pizza Hut.

Moreover, we can also try several fine dining choices such as Dads, Via Mare, Casa Armas and Mexicali. These restaurants can be found at SM Megamall and Shangri-la Plaza.

Bon Appetit!!!

Day 2 - Fill Up Your Tank and Start Driving

2 comments:

I don't have a car, so I have no idea about the exact price of gas in my area. I think it ranges between Php50.00 - 57.00.

To help save on gas, I walk my way to our church for at least three time a week. Instead of bringing my little one to the mall that will require us to a 15-20 minutes travel by a cab, I usually bring her to a nearby shopping complex.

During summer, my sister-in-law who owns a van plans our out-of-town trips. We share in gas and other expenses.

Tomorrow's the third of the virtual tour which started at Mommy Community. I will blog about my favorite restaurant...See yah!!!
